Thank you DEAs

I have promoted the blog in places and welcome all DEAs who read this post.

Firstly, thank you to those who have offered HIP-Consultant.co.uk their services of late and in the past. Unfortunately, i have not been able to offer opportunities to all who have contacted us.

For those of you i have recently been able to offer instructions, i look forward to working with you and am sure we will have a prosperous and successful working relationship together.

Everybody who reads my blog is welcome to leave comments. I would particularly welcome comments from people related to the HIP business about the design and content on our site.

Family empire

I have been doing some SEO today and came accross a directory where my business was listed. It was very amusing to see my father's engineering business Calomax who manufacture and supply water boilers, next to mine as it was listed A-Z. I can only hope it will be as successful in the long term as his has.

I expect to see my brother, Mark Sailes on this list in the near future and his listing will be above myself and our father due to the A-Z nature. Not that we are at all competetive!!! Also well done Mark for your promotion on Friday.

New site

If you get chance please visit my new website Landlord EPC . A

My Home Information pack providers site is relatively new and all readers would be welcomed to leave me some feedback if you get chance on both sites. Thanks

Scottish HIPs

Scotland is bringing in their version of Home Information Packs on 1/12/08. They will be called a Home Report.

They will have less documents to the HIP we are now starting to become used to. Though it will include a property survey which seems as if it will be similar to the HCR - Home Condition Report our government had planned. This implementation was put back though in effect scrapped.

Scotland seems to have sat back and watched how Home Information Packs went in England and Wales and seems as if they may of learnt from this. Will they be successful in bringing in surveys on properties instructed by the home seller. Time will tell!!

North of England based DEA's though more likely RICS registered Home Inspectors maybe find themselves practicing their Scottish accents to secure work accross the borders. That is if the Scottish will recognise our qualification system to carry out the single survey and the domestic energy assessments for the Energy Performance Certificates, which they are calling energy reports.

This could also be good news for independant businesses in the HIP market place as it will be relatively easy to use exisiting procedures and utilising them within this soon to be expanding market place.

If you think you may be interested, my advice is to go get them domains. I have snapped a few up today and their seems to have been little uptake so far!!!

Never ending learning

The point of this post is how anyone; i mean anyone with the right resources can accomplish what they desire.

I have recently developed my website and proud of where we are with it at present. We have implemented most of the main concepts and ideas the team came up with and now feel it is up there, probably in the ranks of the top 10-15% within the industry. Will I be happy with that???

I must take this chance to thank my brother and his patience with me at times. He is a rising star in programming, thanks!!

It amazes me that some people settle for what they have and do not strive to improve. I am not saying that people shouldn't be happy with what they have as it is important in the search for ultimate happiness to recognise what great aspects you have to your life.

At the same time you CAN aim for more and get it, whatever it maybe.

A warm welcome to all

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog !!!

I hope you will find future posts both helpful and more importantly interesting and look forward to your comments.
